The Francois Jacques Class Race kicked off the Eden Trudeau Regatta Week with a nice turnout of spectators and some great sailing sim weather. The elegant Trudeau Francois Jacques was featured in today’s races and plenty of spectators turned up in Eden Alabtros, Eden Puffin, Breadnut, and Ziziphus to watch. The sims themselves, restarted just three hours previous to the race start (our now normal procedure for race days in The North Sea estate), lay calm and provided for some smooth racing.

Today’s winner was Moon (moonglownight Resident), with Kristaly (kristaly Resident) second, and Christine (Christinedutch Resident) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Moon (moonglownight Resident) and Kristaly (kristaly Resident) finished tied with 3 points. As they both have duplicate finishes, Rule A8.2 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If a tie still remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores.“

In the last race, Moon breaks the tie with Kristaly with his first place finish over Kristaly’s second place finish.
We have prize plaques for all our podium finishers today.
